Day by Day: 6 days Mauritius

Day 1: Welcome to Mauritius

On arrival at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport a Matoke tours representative will be waiting to pick you up from your flight. He will take you to your lovely mid-range accommodation, Blue de Toi in the popular town Grand Baie on the northern tip of the island.

The tropical island Mauritius is located 2.000 km of the African coast and is together with La Reunion and Rodrigues, part of the Mascerene islands. Welcome to paradise.



The coming 5 nights you will spend in the Superiour Sea View rooms of the Bay. 

Beachside views, locally inspired menus & shabby chic rooms. Nestled on the West Coast in Black River, our guests come for the ocean in front, the mountains behind and the warm greetings all around.

Day 2 - 5: Relaxing and activities

Bleu de Toi hotel has all the necessary information regarding the sights close by and optional activities. The popular town of Grand Baie is a cozy town with plenty of nice restaurants and a large shopping centre. The nearby Pereybere town has a great public beach and lots of café’s and terraces to enjoy your day.

There are two amazing activities which are included with this package! You can decide for yourself on which day you want to do them. 


Visit Port Louis and the Botanical gardens of Pamplemousse.

This activity is a must see on any holiday to Mauritius. Around 8.30 AM you will be picked from your hotel in a private vehicle. You will visit the beautiful botanical gardens of Pamplemousse where you will find all kinds of endemic flowers and trees. Then you will continue to Port Louise the capital of the island where you will visit the Citadel Fort Adelaide. The fort enjoys a fantastic panoramic view over the capital. The fort was built by the English in 1840. You will also visit the famous Caudan Waterfront mall. Around 5 PM you will be back at your hotel. This activity is included in the price.


Catamaran Cruise

You will depart at 8:15 AM from your hotel to sail to the three northern islands on a beautiful catamaran. From Grand Bayon a catamaran you will spend the day on the Northern Islands, Ilot Gabriel and Flat Island.

The Catamaran will go through the Coin de Mire, an enormous rock with the appearance of gilled falling steeply into the sea, then you will discover Flat Island 22km north of Mauritius and finally we will stop at Ilot Gabriel to enjoy the beach and swimming. Once there, you can walk, do some snorkeling, fins, snorkel and of course sunbathing! Lunch will be served on board, usually consist of grilling and salads.

Day 6: Departure

Today is unfortunately your last day on Mauritius with Matoke tours. Depending on your departure you might still have some extra time to enjoy the beach or do an optional activity. 4 hours before your departure you will be picked by the Matoke tours representative to take you back to the international airport.
